Photos, pricing, listings across marketplace platforms, buyer messages, lowball offers, and no-shows. All of it is on us.

You get paid
You keep 40% of the net proceeds, paid by bank transfer within 14 business days of the sale clearing.

The terms, in full
- Proceeds split 60/40 on the net. Net proceeds are the sale price minus platform fees, shipping, and transaction fees. You keep 40% of that; we keep 60% for the photography, listings, buyer messages, meetups, and logistics. An item that sells for $1,000 with $130 in platform fees and $100 in shipping nets $770, so your share is $308.

- Once we take an item, ownership transfers to Garage Scholars and we handle pricing and the sale from there. It cannot be taken back or repriced after handover, so only give us what you are ready to part with.

Straight answers
What does it cost me up front?
Nothing to consign. The consignment agreement has no fee: we are paid our share out of what actually sells.
How does the split work?
Proceeds split 60/40 on the net. Net proceeds are the sale price minus platform fees, shipping, and transaction fees, and you keep 40% of that. For example: an item sells for $1,000 with $130 in platform fees and $100 in shipping, so net proceeds are $770 and your share is $308. We keep 60% for the photography, the listings, the buyer messages, the meetups, and the logistics.
What if I change my mind on an item?
Decide before you hand it over. Anything you want to keep, keep. Once we take an item, ownership transfers to Garage Scholars so we can price and sell it without back-and-forth, which means it cannot be taken back after that.
What happens to the things that will not sell?
Before we take anything, we tell you plainly when something is not worth listing. Items we do take that have not sold after the period set in your agreement may be donated to a local charity or disposed of.
